Frequently Asked Questions
Do you offer Art Therapy sessions for adults?
Yes! Art Therapy is a beneficial technique for all ages. Individual and group sessions are available online and in-person. Learn more here.
I'm really not talented in art, so will Art Therapy even work for me?
Anyone can benefit from art therapy. It is a common misconception that art making is only for artists or for those with developed creative skills or talent. Often people associate art therapy solely with a child population, but this modality can benefit those of all ages. Art therapy requires absolutely no artistic experience, just a willingness to engage in the creative process. Art therapy is about the process of creating and what emerges from the experience, not just the finished product.
How does Zoom Art Therapy work?
Prior to our session, we will discuss the Art Directive and what art materials are required. I can provide you with a list of preferred art materials and links to buy via Amazon. Alternatively, you may provide me with a list of materials you already have at home and we can tailor the session based on what materials are available.
